yay!

it is SUCH a NICE DAY!!! AHHHH!!!
So, this weekend was cool. Friday night my family and Krystle came and after crew practice, we went out to BDs!!! (with Sean) and it was so fun! (and yummy)
Then Saturday was my first real regatta! Here's on our way to the starting line for the first race (just the bow four are rowing, we are just sitting there keeping the boat set haha) (third pic)

Only you can't see bow pair lol there are actually 8 of us. We got 2nd in that race. Notre Dame beat our boat by about 15 seconds. We kicked Westerns butt though lol we beat them by over 2 minutes. We have A and B boats for the 8's. This was the novice B 8's race.

Then we have A, B, and C 4's. I am in the C boat, but we raced in the B heat because there wasn't a C heat and we got second! We beat our B boat!!!! We were seriously RIGHT behind Mich State and womped western again. It was so sweet!!!!! (second pic is us racing, you can see the b boat behind us hehehe) It was so great!!! It even HAILED on us as we pulled this race! lol coooool.

The first pic is just me carrying the stern of the Karlson after our first race. :D

So, is it really necessary for a guy with a serious girlfriend to have a million other girl/friends? A few casual friends, of course, but lots of email buddys that are girls, lots of friends who are girls...i dunno...i guess it just peeves me beause it is not necessary and... i dunno. I as a girl dont find it necessary have lots of guy friends. I have a few that i grew up with, but I dont get/stay very close to them b/c I have a more important guy in my life now and dont want to risk anything. maybe this weird thought is just me. :p

Go there. see the movie. for real. Hey Craig, I'll bet our church would like to get involved. THey have people traveling the country just to show the movie. Maybe Cornerstone would want to show it. check it out!

I cried. alot. but i AM a crybaby. But it's that sad, and true. whatever we can do, let's do it! We have to power to make a difference in the lives of people who are living in fear and pain. We can help!!! Let's help!!! Anybody having no clue what I am talking about, send me an email or a phone call and i'll tell ya!!! :D

Spring "break" (yeah right!!!)

Some call it spring break, others call it "spring training." Go ahead and decide for yourself which sounds more desirable. haha However, we don't all get to chose, and I was in the group on spring training! :D We went to Oak Ridge, Tennessee and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed and rowed hahaha you get the idea. It was really cool actually. I learned SO much. It was alot harder than I thought because it is alot more technical than the erg (rowing machine) that we had been training on all winter. But it was really really fun. At the beginning I did get pretty frustrated as I excpected to pick up on it pretty quickly, but once I figured out that it is quite a process and cant be accomplished in a short amount of time even with all my effort, I felt better. We went to Gatlinburg on Wednesday (only one practice that day) and it was really a fun little place! Sean and I walked around and saw the sights all day and really enjoyed it. haha We went to Riply's Believe it or not museum and that was sweet. There was an exhibit that scared/startled me so bad that I screamed bloody murder and there were literally tears coming out of my eyes. hahaha good times. We had our first "race" on Sunday, which was not really a normal race I guess because they didn't even have a novice women's 8, so we raced ourselves haha I caught such a massive crab that my ore was on its way under the boat until Kyle rescued me while still rowing with his own ore. Very impressive lol So, that was my spring break in a nutshell. I REALLY wish I was going to FL with CStone like I have the 3 years before. oh well! lucky duckles!
